We celebrated our 40th Foodservice Expo in 2018 & planning is already underway for our 2019 expo.
Foodservice Expo celebrated a 40th anniversary with an event that was bigger and better than ever before. Our expectations were exceeded yet again with over 2000 industry professionals from across North Wales and the North West attending our 2018 catering exhibition. We also had more exhibitors than ever before, with over 170 of our suppliers in attendance.
The expo is an opportunity for our customers, current & prospective, chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers and other foodservice industry professionals to meet our suppliers face to face, to sample new products, discuss menu ideas and to be inspired by the thousands of products on offer across our extensive range.
Exhibitors this year included a wide range of national and international brands including a number of new suppliers such as Cornish cheesemakers Curds & Croust, Holy Cow sauces and Doves Farm, specialists in gluten free ingredients. Also new this year was the increase of our non-food product ranges. This included the Churchill stonecast range. Churchill’s Paul Fielding was on hand to demonstrate the application of the classic duck egg glaze to the instantly recognisable stonecast plates. We have also introduced a number of more eco-friendly products to our offering as we aim o help minimise the use of non-recyclable single use products within the catering industry.
Welsh Maid, which is our own brand of ice cream was relaunched with a fresh new look at last year’s expo proved popular again this year. We have also introduced 5 new flavour for 2018 including Unicorn, which is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages and Butterscotch Crunch.
Our 2019 Foodservice Expo will be held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno for the 6th year. The exhibition will be held over 2 days on the 20th & 21st of March 2019.
